Read my review of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a big dose of more of what you already love. The basis of the game takes place in the Quake universe (excluding Quake 1), where a cyber-alien society is invading the planet Earth and turning humans into cyber-alien-soldiers. The concept is definitely cooler then the last Enemy Territory. Not that I didn’t extremely enjoy the last Enemy Territory game, but what can I say? I’m just sick and tired of WW2 multiplayer games. It’s about time that someone took the war and battlefield game into the sci-fi world (actually, star wars has already done that, but we’ll just ignore that fact for now). The gameplay in Quake Wars is pretty much the same as the original Enemy Territory with a few added features. Mainly it’s that the Strog have a few added alien abilities. However, where the gameplay greatly differs from the original Enemy Territory in a good way is in the vehicles that are available. There are all kinds of vehicles one can drive, shoot and blow up. The vehicles range from giant walking robots, to jets, to four wheelers to tanks and trucks. The vehicles also differ depending on which team your on. The Strog have a jetpack, but the humans have a fast four wheeler. When it comes to vehicles the game is very well balanced. The graphics on the game are good. They’re no Crysis, but they are very good. They’re basically on the same level as Quake 4. Nice and sharp and realistically looking, but nothing ground breaking in anyway. The sound is good, but again nothing groundbreaking. Normally I go into the story of the game, but the story on this is extremely limited (seeing as how it’s an online war game). Basically, aliens are invading and your trying to stop them. That’s about it. The level designs are great, and are very intelligently designed for balance and fun. It has all of the right ebs and flows for massive team on team combat and it really feels like your in an alien war zone. Overall, Enemy Territory is a good game worth the money, but it’s nothing ground breaking. -Awesome McCrunchfist Here's a video of Quake Wars put to Heavy Metal music as posted on YouTube:
