A blog on the current status of the band Rush

So I’m sitting here listening to the new track Far Cry off of the new Rush album, and I’ve got to thinking, out of all of the classic rock acts out there, Rush is really the only one who has managed to be keep progressing. 

On wikipedia it states that Rush is rated fifth for the most consecutive gold and platinum albums, placing behind The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kiss, and Aerosmith.  The one difference between Rush and these other bands though, is that Rush is still writing extremely good new music, and playing awesome concerts.  The Beatles, Rolling Stones, KISS and Aerosmith, while very very good artists, and have recorded great albums, are now either not recording (The Beatles) recording crappy albums (Aerosmith-Just Push Play) or have just turned into giant nostalgia acts (Rolling Stones and KISS).

It’s nice to see that out of the classic rockers, Rush still has the talent, the creativity, and musicianship, and the phrasing to create great new, evolved sounding music and great lyrics, and that they don’t have to completely rely on the sounds of their songs from the 70’s and 80’s albums. 

Here’s to you Rush, keep on keeping on,

	Awesome Alright, so that video was pretty awesome. I like the flames. However, I have to mention Neal Pert's drumset looks ridiculous. He has like 30 drums behind him even! Report
