The release date for the upcoming PS3 game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has been announced by Hideo Kojima.

Hideo Kojima has announced that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be making its way onto the PS3 in Q2 of 2008.

This is a bit later then everyone had been hoping.  Originally most people thought it was going to be coming out during Q1.  However, with the high quality of gaming that the Metal Gear Solid series has delivered us in the past years on the Playstation and Xbox consoles, I can only imagine it would be worth the wait.
