 Read my review of Crysis!
So this game is pretty much as awesome as everyone thought it was going to be. To start I’ll go with what everyone already knows about it. The graphics on the game are absolutely amazing. Definitely the best I’ve ever seen in an FPS, and well… any game really. Crysis definitely currently holds the title for Best Graphic Ever. Ever brick, tree and piece of grass moves and looks as close to real as I’ve seen so far in a game. The talk about the graphics moves into the games next best feature, which is breakability and physics. You can pretty much break everything you can see in the game (except for like rocks). This might not sound like it’s such an important aspect of the game, but it actually becomes one of the biggest factor as you play. Suppose you’re hiding in a house, and an enemy throws a grenade into it. Even the grenade misses you, the rest of the building still takes damage, and the roof falls in, and the walls fall down. Now the environment you were hiding in has completely changed and you need to constantly be adjusting your fighting strategy in order to cope with the ever changing environment. Obviously physics plays a giant role in this aspect of the game, and needles to say the physics in the game are great… if your computer can handle it. Yes, even though Crysis does have great graphics and physics, it is very very taxing on the computer. You pretty much need the most update parts in your computer if your going to be able to play it at really high resolution. However, if you don’t have a wicked high end computer (say a year to maybe two years old), don’t fret necessarily. You’ll still be able to play the game, but just at a fairly low resolution. The gameplay of any game is obviously the most important, and the gameplay of crysis is great. There are a lot of standard FPS elements in this game. Take the gun, run around, shoot the bad guys, hide, shoot some more, sneak around, take the bad guys guns, kill some more. However, Cyrsis adds a great element to the game in the Nano-suit function, which basically allows you to choose back and forth between different super powers including a cloak, super strength, super armor, or super speed. The guns in Crysis also come with some customization, in that you can add and attach various sights and silencers to it. The sound in Crysis is great. Good music, good voice acting, and good explosions and gun fire sound effect. Overall, Crysis is definitely worth the money… if your computer can handle it. -Awesome McCrunchfist Here's a video of Crysis as posted on YouTube:
